Garey Roofing was founded in Benton Harbor in 1913 by my great-grandfather Charlie Garey. At that time the business operated out of his house on Main Street and he shared the house with renters on the second floor who provided income during the winter months. Later generations coming to work for the company, grandfather Lloyd, father Bob, myself and now my son Dan have all contributed to the success of the company over the past 94 years. When the company was first founded all materials were asphalt based and primarily used in residential applications, now we install high r-value insulation and single-ply systems using robotic welding machines. BAck then we rarely went outside of the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area, now we travel throughout western Michigan and northern Indiana.

Today we look a roof in context of the buildings use, foot traffic, environmental impact, budgets, energy savings, and replacement vs. restoration.
